Interior architecture of a listed building in Barcelona (in progress) / Barcelona
The vilablanch studio is carrying out the interior architecture project of a listed building from the 18th century in Barcelona, to transform it into four unique homes, with magnificent views of the city.
The vilablanch studio is carrying out the interior architecture project of an 18th century building located in Barcelona's Sarrià neighborhood, which is suitable for residential use. It is a noucentista style cataloged property made up of different bodies, including a large arcaded gallery. The building, which was the property of Bonaventura Grases Hernández, was reformed in 1888 by Josep Arnau i Piera, but is currently in disuse and quite dilapidated.
Vilablanch is carrying out the total building rehabilitation and the interior design of three homes that will be created in the historic construction of Casa Grasas - an interior design concept, focused on recovering the original essence of the building, will be applied in them - and the interior architecture of a fourth home which will be located in a new construction single-family house that stands next to the main building. Likewise, it is also in charge of developing the interior design of all the common areas of the project (hall, stairs, swimming pools, garages ...)
The conceptualization and integral development of the interior architecture of this project includes a meticulous work of recovering the original architectural elements, as well as a detailed choice of the different materials and finishes. The pavements, coatings, colors (of walls, floors and so on), kitchens, bathrooms, doors, handles, railings, lighting, furniture, etc., are always chosen based on the agreed interior design concept and the key strategy of the project.
