The vilablanch studio wins First Prize at the bulthaup 2018 Awards

On January 9, the bulthaup Awards "La cocina como espacio vital 2018" were celebreted. This year, our project "Loft in Ciutat Vella" won the first prize. It was based on an interior architecture project carried out in colaboration with bulthaup barcelona. In this project the kitchen suits perfectly to the apartment located in the heart of Barcelona as a functional space. The Jury of this edition, formed by Fuensanta Nieto (architect), Susanna Cots (interior designer), Osvaldo Luppi (architect), Ivan Cuní (Country Manager Bulthaup Iberia), Joaquina Cotorruelo (bulthaup partner) and Rafael Padín (bulthaup partner), awarded the first prize to the project “Loft en Ciutat Vella, Barcelona” presented by the vilablanch studio. The project was the best to achieve the control of the space and the four established criteria: 

· Utility value (ergonomics, technique) 
· Design quality (function, construction, innovation) 
· Integration into the kitchen (design context, appearance) 
· Achieve enjoyment in the kitchen as the center of the house

Likewise, the vilablanch project resulted to be the winner "for the valuation of the original space and the integration of new and existing materials, with the kitchen as an  element of the family space of the house”
